The “Carbon Neutrality Capacity Enhancement Program” of Tsinghua University enhances the students’ ability to achieve carbon neutrality through the integration of interdisciplinary educational resources, leveraging the advantages of cross-disciplinary education. It upholds the curriculum design concept of “technology + management” interdisciplinary integration to cultivate high-level, composite carbon neutrality talents. The program is coordinated and managed by the National Graduate College for Engineers of Tsinghua University, with teaching conducted by relevant departments specializing in carbon neutrality. Expert groups from the Institute for Carbon Neutrality (ICON) serve as consultants for the program.

The program was officially launched in January 2022 and is offered jointly by ten departments of Tsinghua University. In 2022 and 2023, a total of 736 current students from 45 schools and departments enrolled in the program. As of October 2023, 89 students from 19 departments have received program certificates, including 47 master's degree students and 42 doctoral students.
