The annual Carbon Neutrality Forum for Doctoral Students aims to build a high-level, multi-disciplinary, and innovation-promoting platform for domestic and international young scholars to exchange ideas on carbon neutrality, and promote talent cultivation and industry-academia-research collaboration in the field of carbon neutrality.
The first forum was held online from December 17th to 18th, 2022. The forum received 346 submissions from over 60 universities and research institutes, with 78 oral presentations accepted and 22 innovative entrepreneurial projects showcased. 22 experts delivered keynote speeches at the opening ceremony and various sub-forums, and over a hundred young scholars participated in discussions. The live broadcast of the opening and closing ceremonies attracted over 100,000 online viewers, with more than 6,600 viewers tuning in to the sub-forum activities.
The second forum took place at Tsinghua University in Beijing from November 23rd to 25th, 2023. This forum attracted 434 experts, scholars, and young students from 162 domestic and international institutions. The event featured 95 oral presentations, 109 poster presentations, and 18 innovative entrepreneurial projects for on-site display. It also created for the first time an international subforum with English as the conference language. The opening and closing ceremonies were watched by over 274,000 online viewers, setting a new record for forum attendance and online audience numbers.
The third forum will be held at Tsinghua University in early November, 2024.
