In the context of the ‘dual-carbon’, a modern carbon neutral governance system is a major need for the construction of global, national and regional governance systems in the future. Supported by the Institute for Carbon Neutrality, Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, School of Economics and Management, School of Public Policy and Management and PBC School of Finance, the Climate Governance and Carbon Finance Research Center focuses on carbon neutral national and global climate governance system and mechanism as well as carbon finance, and puts forward relevant policy recommendations from the perspectives of economics and management, providing scientific knowledge and solutions for the construction and development of carbon neutral governance system in China and the world.

Research Interests

1. International Climate Agreements and Implementation Mechanisms: study the key issues of addressing climate change，global climate governance mechanisms, the measurement of carbon in global value chains， collaborative governance, and how China can play a leading role in international cooperation on climate change.

2. Regional Carbon Neutral Planning and Management: carry out comprehensive assessment of regional carbon neutral planning and management to provide policy recommendations for regional carbon neutral planning and climate air synergistic management.

3. MRV Standards and Regulation of Carbon Emission: research on carbon emission MRV methods and standard systems, as well as key technologies to support the operation of ETS and CCER.

4. Carbon Emission Trading and Carbon Tax: research on the mechanism design and assessment standards of ETS, the possible forms and impacts of carbon tax in the future.

5. Low-carbon Economy and Climate Finance: analyze the future policy framework of China's low-carbon economy and climate finance, as well as the possible problems in the development of low-carbon economy and climate finance.
