On May 30, several experts from Deloitte’s Sustainable Development and Climate Change Business Group visited the Institute for Carbon Neutrality of Tsinghua University (ICON, Tsinghua). The visiting experts included Andrea Culligan, the Global Deloitte GreenSpace Technology Lead Partner and Australian Innovation and Venture Capital Lead Partner, Li Xiaochen, the Deloitte China Sustainable Development and Climate Change Business Group Lead Partner, Xie An, the Dean of Deloitte China Sustainable Development and Climate Change Research Institute, and Li Peng, the Deloitte China Sustainable Development and Climate Change Director. Lu Xi, the assistant to the dean of the ICON, Wu Haiping, the director for foreign affairs and administration, and Zhong Yijing, the director for technology communication, participated in the symposium.
According to the Deloitte team, Deloitte’s sustainable development and climate change business mainly includes four sectors: addressing climate change and decarbonization, ESG reporting, green construction, and sustainable finance. The decarbonization sector encompasses services such as decarbonization management, supply chain management, green taxation, and climate transition risk management. Green construction includes contents such as green cities, green parks, and green buildings. Deloitte has also developed multiple databases and digital management tools, such as GreenSpace, to enable consulting services. The GreenSpace database encompasses information on various carbon neutral technologies and their corresponding companies.
Lu Xi introduced the overall situation of the ICON to the Deloitte team. The two sides exchanged views on potential future cooperation directions.
