The 3rd Global Insights event focuses on the topics of global energy transition and the coordinated development of green industries. We are honored to have Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Michael Hood as our guest speaker.
The emerging rupture in global order presents both a systemic risk and a strategic opening for accelerating the worldwide energy transition. While China has emerged as a technological leader in green energy, the large-scale global deployment of these critical technologies still face barriers. Drawing on the analogy of Microsoft’s shift from competitive to collaborative business models, Prof. Hood argues that a similar collaborative transformation is essential for global decarbonization. By forming cross-border joint ventures between China and resource-rich nations such as Australia to develop local processing and manufacturing capacity, the global community can de-risk supply chains, rebuild trust, and generate shared jobs and wealth.
