Supported by the Institute for Carbon Neutrality and the School of Architecture, the Zero Carbon Building Research Center focuses on key fundamental science issues and major engineering technology issues for achieving carbon neutrality in the field of building, and deploys research layout. The Center, targeting various building types such as public buildings and residential buildings, integrates the advantages of multidisciplinary intersection to develop critical technologies applicable to the whole process of planning, design, operation and maintenance in different climate zones, and is committed to becoming a place of originality for major key technologies in the field of carbon neutrality and a cradle of important engineering applications.

Research Interests

1. Key technologies for flexible energy use in buildings based on PEDF (Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, Direct current, Flexibility).

2. Key technologies for low-grade waste heat collection and conversion.

3. Key technologies for new rural energy systems.

4. Research on the national conditions and strategic planning for an energy revolution targeting carbon neutrality, and research on the framework of urban and rural zero carbon energy systems, implementation pathways, system design and policy mechanisms.

5. Zero carbon building design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance methods and innovative products.

6. Construction of low carbon urban and rural technology indicator system and planning techniques for the construction of zero carbon building energy systems.
