Supported by the Institute for Carbon Neutrality and Department of Electrical Engineering, while focusing on the construction of a "new-type power system with a gradual increase in the proportion of new energy sources", the New-type Power System Research Center carries out research on basic theories and key technologies at the level of "core devices, key equipment, and the overall system". In doing so, the center breaks down multidisciplinary barriers including electrical engineering, thermology, mechanics, material science, and economics, and strengthen communication and collaboration. The center strives to provide solutions for the planning, operation and control technologies of new-type power system, the development of key equipment, and the localization of core devices, so as to promote the low-carbon transition of power system.
