一、2026年国际“碳中和与能源智联”论坛

CNEST International Forum is an annual international forum series hosted by Tsinghua University to facilitate global discussion on cutting-edge science and technology issues and solutions of carbon neutrality and energy system transformation.

The 2026 CNEST International Forum will be held on May 20-22, 2026 in Changping District, Beijing. It invites 300-400 high-level experts from academia, industry, and policy-making from around the world, aiming to shape global consensus on CNEST related issues and improve strategic planning of the CNEST multilateral research collaboration program initiated by Tsinghua. The Forum is co-chaired by Prof. Peixue Jiang from Tsinghua Department of Energy and Power Engineering and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; and Prof. Deliang Chen from Tsinghua Department of Earth System Sciences and member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. The Forum’s Science Committee is chaired by Prof. Kebin He from Tsinghua Institute for Carbon Neutrality and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

The 2026 CNEST Forum is now calling for original submissions of 250-word abstracts from academic, industry, and policy professionals, especially abstracts for review and perspective papers. Outstanding papers will be invited for oral or poster presentations at the Forum, and may also be invited for publication in partner journal. Academics and researchers, corporate executives, pilot project managers, policy analysts, government administrators, and senior science and tech journalists are all welcome to submit.

This year’s Forum is supported by Technology Review for Carbon Neutrality, an open-access journal hosted by Tsinghua that serves as a technology observatory and policy connector for global decision-makers. It publishes reviews and perspectives from academic, industry, and policy experts, as well as case studies and in-depth journalistic features.

国际“碳中和与能源智联”论坛是由清华大学主办的系列国际年度论坛，旨在促进全球探讨碳中和与能源系统转型相关的前沿科技问题和解决方案。2026年国际“碳中和与能源智联”论坛将于2026年5月20日至22日在北京市昌平区举行。论坛将邀请来自全球政产学界的300-400名高水平专家，讨论凝练全球共识，并促进由清华大学发起的CNEST多边研究合作计划的战略规划完善。本届论坛的主席由清华大学能源与动力工程系姜培学院士、地球系统科学系陈德亮院士共同担任，论坛科学委员会主席由清华大学碳中和研究院贺克斌院士担任。

论坛现面向国内外政产学界的专业人士征集250词以内的原创英文摘要，尤其欢迎综述或观点文章的摘要。优秀论文的作者将受邀在论坛上作口头报告或墙报展示，并有机会受邀在合作期刊发表文章。欢迎各界的研究人员、企业管理者、中试项目经理、政策分析师、政府业务官员、科技媒体资深记者等投稿。

本届论坛由《碳中和科技评论（英文）》（Technology Review for Carbon Neutrality）期刊协办，该刊是由清华大学主办的开放获取期刊，旨在为全球决策者起到技术瞭望塔和政策连接器的作用，主要发表来自政产学界专家的综述与观点文章，以及部分案例研究和媒体深度报道。

The abstract should be original without prior publication and offer unique insights with academic, industry, policy significance. It may address: key technological needs for future R&D, competing technology routes, cutting-edge science discoveries and technology innovations; key lessons learnt, current barriers, and policy needs in technology deployment and engineering scale-up; balance of interests, unique national/regional circumstances, and risk assessment involved in policy design, as well as changes and adaptation in policy implementation.

Warning: corporate advertisement without meaningful contribution to the forum discussion will not be accepted.

4.Submit your abstract

四、摘要提交方式

Submit a structured abstract in English (less than 250 words), including: Background (main issue/challenge/gap and its real-world significance), Methods, Findings, Interpretation (including recommendations).

Please also specify in the abstract: all authors; affiliations of all authors, the corresponding author and email address, and submitting author’s contacts, and preference for oral or poster presentation.

Please submit your abstract to: carbontr@tsinghua.edu.cn. Please name the title of the email as: “CNEST Forum submission – area – review/perspective/research/journalistic feature – corresponding author’s name (affiliation) - short title”.

Deadline for submission: April 30, 2026.

Following assessment by an expert committee, you will be notified by May 10, 2026 through email whether your contribution has been accepted for presentation. Once accepted, the oral presentation may be allowed 10 minutes to present in a forum session. The poster should use A0 size (841 ×1189mm), vertical orientation (portrait). Poster presenters will be provided with a designated board area for displaying and introducing their poster.

2025年国际“碳中和与能源智联”论坛简介

The 2025 International Forum on Carbon Neutrality and Energy System Transformation (CNEST) was successfully held in Beijing from June 27-29. As the inaugural international forum on the multilateral collaboration program CNEST, the event brought together over 400 participants from 19 countries. Attendees included representatives from universities, research institutes, enterprises, and international organizations. The forum featured the launch of the CNEST Beijing Initiative and Technology Review for Carbon Neutrality, an international journal that will serves as an open, neutral, and thoughtful global platform of communication on CNEST.

2025年6月27日至29日，2025年国际“碳中和与能源智联”论坛在北京举办。作为“碳中和与能源智联”（CNEST）多边合作项目举办的首届国际论坛，大会吸引了来自19个国家的400余位高校、科研机构、企业人士以及国际组织代表参会。论坛发布《“碳中和与能源智联”（CNEST）北京倡议》和CNEST全球传播平台《碳中和科技评论（英文）》期刊，在国内外产生了广泛影响。
